Avon River, Basin Flat. Monday February 16, 2009

Report produced by Duncan F. This trip is shared on Dragonflies Australia

A trip out to the Avon River to see if the odonata population has recovered after the two huge floods in 2007. In a word no, this used to be a hot spot for dragon and damselflies, but on this occasion I saw less than ten total in two locations along 100 odd metres of river.

1. Nice Location

Looks like an interesting location - broad rocky river with plenty of perching opportunities (for those that like to do that) plus some vegetation nearby to hide amongst for the other species.
